The Difference Between Internal And External Blogs
By: Fredrik Wacka
After eight months of internal blogging Dennis Hamilton writes about how internal blogs differ from their external cousins.
Before he had written one post on the blog there were negative feelings about it because there were unexpected costs the VP didn't appreciate.
He also tells us about a number of other potential difficulties, which we all can learn from.
Some examples:
- There are going to be certain topics that are taboo...
- Some employees might see your blog as a device that doesn't support the ever-present "bottom line."
- How easy would it be for a disgruntled employee to copy something off of your internal blog and forward it onto someone outside your organization?
