While the world of PR blogs grows, there still are few blogs dedicated solely to internal communications (which, I happen to believe, is the most important communication effort in which a company can engage).

I was thrilled to get an email this morning from my old friend Ron Shewchuk pointing me to his new blog, "For Your Approval," which will focus strictly on employee communications.

Ron-who splits his time between communications and barbecue (he's the host of a new barbecue podcast), was behind some of the most impressive investor communications I'd ever seen when he handled the role at Suncor, the Canadian energy company. But, like me, his heart is in employee communications. He introduces his blog by acknowledging the life of an internal communicator: "FYA is a blog for everyone who has the sometimes thankless and always challenging task of communicating with the employees of an organization." I'm looking forward to it.
